About us

The ministry
Rivers of Joy Ministries is a fast growing UK based international ministry. We define ourselves "evangelical", due to the strong emphasis that we give to the study and the teaching of the word of God. We also define ourselves "pentecostal/charismatic" due to the fact that we strongly believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and in their availability in this age to every believer. We also believe in the five-fold ministries of apostle, prophet, pastor, evangelist and teacher. These beliefs are represented in our style of worship, organization, passion for the lost, our Bible teaching events and leadership and organization of the ministry.

We are 100% Biblical, which means that we do not care for "traditions" or of un-biblical ministry styles and methods of operation. We seek to DO what the Bible actually says, not only SAY it. We follow the Great Commission and this is clearly visible in many of our activities. In particular we focus on:
a) evangelism and missions (through local people)
b) church planting (of new churches)
c) apostolic cover (of existing independent churches that join us
d) training and equipping (through our Bible School and the Leadership Institute).

Areas of operation
The ministry operates through a network of national branches each operating through a network of local churches in that specific nation. This guarantees unity of vision, purpose and action let alone sharing of resources and reciprocal support. New branches and churches are being open all the time (See the specific page on this site). The Ministry also has a Bible School and a Leadership Institute (both based on distance learning), a Publishing Dept New activities will be launched as and when God will enable us to do so.

Our purpose and aims
As Rivers of Joy Ministries we want to walk in the love of God and. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, reach the lost and the saved, the oppressed and the sick, the rich and the poor with the message of God's salvation and abundant love for us all. We want to bring salvation, healing, deliverance and prosperity to all in need. Our purpose is to bring living water to those that hunger and thirst for God and push back the frontiers of the kingdom of darkness. Our aim is to fill the church afresh with God's glory and prepare believers for the glorious return of our King Jesus. Our goal is to allow the river of God's abundant joy to flow all over the world and raise the banner of Jesus in every nation.
